- We use a readable IEP. You don’t want to be lost in a sea of jargon and acronyms. Actually: nobody does, no matter how many capital letters follow their name. If you’re lost in document-speak, how can you meaningfully participate?
- We hold twice-yearly IEP meetings. The minimum is…the minimum. Twice yearly is functional: act on data now, plan for the future. Repeat.
- Parents show up for special education as much as the rest of the IEP team. Not just when the IEP meeting happens.
